queens of the back teeth? upon discovering several raw drum tracks performed by a rich-and-famous rock drummer, sick to the back teeth took it upon himself to create new compositions with them.

in an homage to the rich-and-famous band that wrote the drum parts, he has stylized the songs with a tip of the hat to their sound. the rich, multi-layered guitars playing harmonic leads, the clean pop vocals, the slightly-distorted bass sound... you get the idea.

but to the extent that any rock song can be original, clearly these songs are. the only element recognizable of the original songs is the perfectly-played, well-produced drums. chris m. played all the instruments except the drums, sang the songs, wrote the words, electronized the electronics, pressed record, etc.

so here is your heavy power-pop record - as pop as sick gets. just in time for march, the sound of the dying winter and the coming spring.
